About the Running Pace Calculator
Pace is the language of running: minutes per kilometer or per mile rather than speed. This calculator converts any run into both pace formats and into km/h and mph, so you can translate a treadmill speed, a Strava split or a race target between systems in one step.
It also predicts how you would perform at other distances using Pete Riegel's formula, T2 = T1 × (D2 ÷ D1)1.06, which has stood up well for events from the 5K to the marathon. Run a hard 10K, enter the time, and you get realistic half-marathon and marathon targets and the paces you would need to hold.
Use it to plan training paces, set pacing bands on your watch, or sanity-check a goal before race day.

- Choose a standard race distance or enter a custom distance in kilometers or miles.
- Enter the time it took (or the time you are aiming for) in hours, minutes and seconds.
