This Privacy Policy explains what information ToolNest ("we", "us" or "the site") collects when you use this website, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information processed by the tools
All tools on ToolNest run locally in your web browser. Text you paste, numbers you enter and files you select are processed on your own device and are not transmitted to, stored on, or logged by our servers. Once you close or reload the page, that data is gone unless your browser itself keeps a copy (for example through form auto-fill).
2. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider and third-party services may automatically receive standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed and the date and time of the visit. This information is used to keep the site secure, measure traffic and improve the service. It is not used to identify you personally.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by your browser. ToolNest itself does not set cookies to track you. However, third-party services described below may set cookies or use similar technologies (such as web beacons or local storage) when you visit our pages. See our Cookie Policy for details on managing cookies.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- Alternatively, you can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message before personalised ads are served, and can change their choice at any time through that message.
For more information about how Google uses data when you use our site, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
5. Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Google Analytics) to understand which tools are popular and how the site performs. Analytics data is aggregated and does not include anything you enter into a tool. Where required, analytics only runs after you have given consent.
6. Links to other websites
Some pages contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their privacy policies.
7. Children's privacy
The site is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Data security
The site is served over HTTPS. Because the tools do not send your data to us, the main protection for your information is your own device and browser. Keep them up to date.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Since we do not maintain user accounts or databases of personal information, the most effective way to exercise these rights is through the cookie and advertising controls described above. For anything else, contact us.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
11. Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent through our contact page.
