About the Area Converter
Property is advertised in square metres in most of the world, in square feet across North America and much of Asia, and in acres or hectares once you move to land and farming. The Area Converter puts all of those on one screen so you can compare a flat listed at 85 square metres with one listed at 915 square feet without doing the arithmetic twice.
The factors follow directly from the length definitions: a square foot is 0.3048 metres squared, an acre is 43,560 square feet, and a hectare is exactly 10,000 square metres. The pyeong is included because Korean listings still quote it, and one pyeong is about 3.31 square metres.
