About the When Will I Be a Millionaire?
How long until you have a million? The answer depends on three levers: what you already have, how much you add each month and the return your money earns. This calculator projects your balance month by month and reports the exact point at which it crosses your target, together with the calendar date.
The projection compounds monthly at the equivalent of your annual return and adds your contribution at the end of each month. It shows how much of the final sum you actually deposited versus how much came from growth, which is usually the eye-opening part: over long periods returns do most of the work.
Change the target to model any goal, such as a house deposit or a retirement number, and adjust the monthly amount to see how faster saving shortens the timeline.
